What if I told you 5, 6, and 7-figure gifts are hidden within your organization right now?

I’ve worked with so many nonprofit organizations over the course of the last decade+ and I want to share some results that are absolutely possible for you.

Due to the private nature of these relationships and to maintain my client’s confidentiality, no names of individuals or organizations are listed in these case studies, but I share as much detail as possible to get a sense of the organization’s size.

Case Study 1:

Celebrity entrepreneur and board member of $1.5M org was giving $25,000 annually.

I worked with the organization and together we created an engagement strategy that the board member was excited about for their 20 closest friends and colleagues and the board member raised $225,000 in 6 mos. for the first-time, which was all new business for the nonprofit.

That’s an 800% increase in give/get from one single board member.

Case Study 2:

High-profile, ultra high-net worth donor of $8M org was giving $100,000-$500,000 annually.

We increased the communication and the quality of meetings between the donor and CEO which resulted in an unsolicited $1M gift in 90 days.

Bonus: This gift inspired a $500,000 gift from another donor (who was good friends with the first donor) within the same timeframe.

Case Study 3:

Millennial philanthropist was giving $5,000 annually unsolicited to $26M org.

We asked powerful questions, uncovered passions, and connected them to an opportunity that unlocked ultimate joy.

Resulted in $250,000 one-time gift in 2 months with “more to come” and the donor was “overjoyed”.

You might look at your current donors and think “There isn’t anyone who can give at that level” and these organizations thought the same thing at first.

Look, there are donors who give $10,000/year and that is truly at the top of what they can do. Period.

Then there are others who give $10,000 and they can actually give $50,000+ annually.

And when I say actually what I mean is that not only do they have the capacity (wealth) to do so, but they are inclined to do it as well — the passion, the generous spirit and the willingness are all there.

And one might argue: “Well then, if all that lines up, why don’t they just give the $50k?” and the answer is leadership.

You are a leader in their life. It is up to you to inspire, encourage and invite them to increase their giving.

We all have leaders in our lives who invite us to step in and step up to greater challenges than we would have picked for ourselves. That is your role of the fundraiser: to call in your most influential donors to an even greater level of generosity.

When I work with my clients, we focus on building 3 things: Courage, Generosity and Influence. Feel nebulous? It’s actually quite pragmatic. I have created a plan of action that has worked for nonprofits small, medium and large. And one of the byproducts of focusing on building those tools is an exponential increase in giving from your most catalytic donors.
